Kanye West and Sam Smith have (sort of) teamed up to provide us all with the mashup we didn't realise was missing from our lives.

It seems DJs have come down with mashup fever because we're still recovering from the perfection that was the Taylor Swift/Kendrick Lamar 'Shake it Off' situation.

The mashup, constructed by San Diego based Carlos Serrano, splices together Kanye West's 'Can't Tell Me Nothing' and Sam Smith's 'I'm Not The Only One'.

Serrano is, of course, the genius behind the fairly recent 2Pac x Banks collaboration and tons of other unlikely partnerships.

Is it too soon to suggest the two start working together all the time on all things? Is there a mashup of 'Gold Digger' and 'Stay With Me' on the horizon? A version of 'Clique' where Sam Smith just does vocal runs in the background?

Either way, we’re sure Kanye approves of this take on one of his classics.
