This is WAY out of line.
By now, you'll probably all be aware of the meme sweeping the internet and it involves some guy called Daniel and his white vans.
For those unawares, watch the viral video below.

Seriously, damn Daniel. Always at it with those white vans.
But, like many of today's viral fairytales, things have turned ugly rather quickly. According to a report by ABC 7, the boy who filmed the video was subjected to a completely out of line prank.
The news station reported that the Riverside, CA, police department received a call that alleged that the boy behind the video had shot his mother dead with an AK-47. Of course, the police arrived at the unsuspecting teen's house only to find that the whole thing was, obvs, a hoax.
According to ABC 7, the person calling had used a voice modulator that had tricked the police into thinking that something untoward was occurring.

This is the latest in a trend of internet stars, celebrities and other public figures getting 'swatted'. Swatting is, as detailed above, the practice of deceiving authorities into dispatching emergency services to a false report of an incident. Even Miley Cyrus has been subjected to this dangerous and time wasting hoax.
In statement the Riverside police lieutenant, Kevin Townsend, said: "We believe and the family believes that since their video went viral, it’s somehow connected.
"Ever since their video has gone out there, they’ve received a number of what they call strange phone calls and emails, and a lot of strange things happening so tonight was just another incident for their family."
Seriously, DAMN DANIEL!
