Your favourite meme is back from the dead in the form of a cheese-based snack food...

Harambe, the sadly departed Gorilla of Cincinnati Zoo that became the finest meme of 2016, has been reincarnated in the most unlikely of places...

He has taken on a new form as a Cheeto.

(Tragically not life-size but, hey, we'll take what we can get).

Yes, Metro reports that one Ebay user placed the cheesy puff online where it has now sold at the very reasonable price of $99,900 (well, its value will surely increase over time. Or at least until the Cheeto goes mouldy).

But does this cheese-based snack food actually look anything like the famous deceased Gorilla?

Judge for yourself with this handy comparison.

Seriously - what has happened to the world?

If you are disappointed you missed out this time, maybe grab a bag of Cheetos and see if there is a similar model you can uncover. We're pretty sure if you squint you can make any of them look like him tbh...
