Yet ANOTHER reason to love Lush.

There are about a million reasons to love Lush. Not only are their products dreamy and luscious (for lack of a better word), but they're also a brand that is committed to sustainability

That's why when we heard about Lush's plan to help clean up the oceans and re-use plastic waste, we couldn't believe more companies weren't doing the same.

According to Bustle, Lush recently went to work with Ocean Legacy Foundation on its mission to clean up 27 tons of plastic waste from Vancouver Island in British Colombia, Canada.

The plastic retrieved from their mission was then handed over to Urban Resource Group who will turn the waste into re-usable materials for Lush packaging. Some of the Lush products you buy will be housed by 100% recycled plastic bottles and tubs which is simply AMAZING.

It's no secret how polluted our oceans and lakes have become with plastic waste and other debris. This waste is harmful to animals and terrible for the ecosystem. Be like Lush and make reducing your environmental impact a priority. Also, don't hesitate to support companies who make the environment a part of their agenda.

If a massive corporation can take steps to make our oceans cleaner and safer for wildlife, we can all volunteer our time and do more to reduce the amount of waste we send out into the world.
