The young girl suffers from Williams Syndrome which causes learning difficulties.
A teaching assistant from Texas has been fired after posting a picture of a young student with learning difficulties on Snapchat with the caption "she-devil".
As Metro reports, the staff-member was working at Martha Reid Elementary School in Arlington, Texas when the mother of the child in question was forwarded a screenshot of the picture.
The pupil, who's identity has been protected, suffers from Williams Syndrome, a genetic condition that can cause developmental delays and learning disabilities.
Speaking to local news outlet CBSDFW, the mother said "It's very disturbing to have your daughter's photos be exploited on social media without your consent. It's more hurtful to me than my daughter because she doesn't understand".
Misuse of Snapchat has been a major topic of discussion lately, with model Dani Mathers currently facing prosecution over her picture of an elderly naked woman in her gym changing room with the caption "If I can't unsee this then you can't either".
