Zendaya is a big freaking deal. She has graced the cover of countless magazines, made her mark on television, and inspired young women everywhere to always highlight those cheekbones.

But just because you're on some magazines and television, doesn't mean people aren't going to be straight up discriminatory to you when they feel like it. Zendaya shared the story of a grocery store employee who discriminated against her and, fair warning, your rage levels are about to go through the roof.

Zendaya took to her Snapchat to speak her mind about an incident that made her realize that there is a "lot of progress to be done in our world".

As Zendaya and a friend were trying to purchase $400 worth of gift cards, Zendaya says a store clerk told them they couldn't buy the merchandise. The clerk then proceeded to toss Zendaya's wallet and attempt to serve other customers--disregarding Zendaya completely. ""But the lady who was helping us, I don't think she was a huge fan of our skin tone," Zendaya says at one point.

Eventually Zendaya was able to buy her gift cards with the help of a manager but the experience clearly left a bad taste in her mouth.

Lots of people have tweeted at Zendaya telling her that what she experienced was not discrimination but it's unclear on how they can make that type of assumption based on something that they didn't witness or experience themselves.

Zendaya was recently confirmed for the role of Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spider-Man film and there's no denying that some of the objections to her casting in that were racially motivated.
