Confirming once again that metalheads are the nicest people in music.

Over the weekend, thrash-metal band Slayer rescued a freezing homeless kitten from the streets of Indianapolis.

The band had been dining out in a local steakhouse when a homeless man offered to sell the kitten to them for $1.00. They took the kitten back to their tour bus and quickly found a willing owner to take her in.

The kitten, now named Gypsy, is apparently enjoying her new home off the streets.
