"Universe must have my back. Fell from the sky into my lap." Ariana Grande's 'Sweetener' is an instant classic, with lyrics worthy of the dreamiest Instagram photo.

Ariana Grande unveiled her highly anticipated follow up to 2016's Dangerous Woman. The singer released Sweetener, a 15-track opus which delivered both the vocal and lyrical goods.

Ariana Grande lyrics tend to make for iconic Instagram captions and Sweetener is no exception. Here are the lyrical stand outs from Sweetener, an album Ariana's fans are already raving about.

"Raindrops (An Angel Cried)"

Most caption-worthy lyric:

"The day you left me, an angel cried"

"Raindrops (An Angel Cried)" was one of the first songs Ariana Grande previewed on Twitter ahead of Sweetener's August release.

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"I thought that I was dreaming 'til my love came around"

"Once I have you, I will never let you, never let you go."

"The Light Is Coming"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"As if it were shade, you would just throw it all. It's like you're trying not to glow at all"

"The light is coming to give back everything the darkness stole"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"But you are not a picture, I can't cut you up and hide you."

"Think I heard some wedding bells, shh, keep it to yourself"

The wedding bells lyric could be a reference to Ari's fiancée Pete Davidson. In R.E.M., Ariana expresses a head-over-heels excitement about a new love to the point where she feels there may be "wedding bells" in their future.

Ariana teased the song's title all the way back in April 2018.

"God Is a Woman"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"And boy, if you confess, you might get blessed. See if you deserve what comes next."

"God Is a Woman" has major religious and sexual undertones. In poetry and music, religious language like "church" and "prayer" and "worship" are often metaphors for sex. See Hozier's "Take Me To Church", for example.

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"I like the way you lick the bowl."

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"Yeah, it feels so good to be so young. And have this fun and be successful"

Ariana's lyric about being successful isn't as unique to her as you think. While she is worth a considerable amount of money (and it's kind of cute to hear her have this bravado about her success), this is such a graduation photo caption worthy lyric.

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"You get high and call on the regular. I get weak and fall like a teenager."

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"Feel my blood runnin', swear the sky's fallin'"

"No Tears Left to Cry"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"We way too fly to partake in all this hate"

Ariana launched her official return to new music after last year's devastating Manchester tragedy with "No Tears Left To Cry". In the song, Ariana expresses emotional exhaustion and a desire to overcome pain and live life again.

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"Once you tastin' my ice cream, I bet you won't ever leave"

"Wish you'd chew on me like fresh grapes"

Ariana noted via Twitter that her innuendo packed Missy Elliot collab "Borderline" is one of her favourites. Who doesn't appreciate a sexy food analogy?

"Better Off"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"And if we're being honest. I'd rather your body than half of your heart."

"I'm better off without him. I'm better off being a wild one"

Some fans have speculated that the lyrics in "Better Off" are about Ariana's ex Mac Miller. Of course, they could literally be about anyone, or they could be about no one in particular.

"Goodnight n Go"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"Lately, all I want is you on top of me. You know where your hands should be"

Ariana's "Goodnight n Go" turns Imogen Heap's 2006 classic "Say Goodnight and Go" completely on its head. Ariana first tweeted about the original song in 2010.

And then about her upcoming song in June 2018.

"Pete Davidson"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"I thought you into my life, woah. Look at my mind, yeah"

"Universe must have my back. Fell from the sky into my lap"

There's not much to decode about a song literally named after her fiancée. Once called "Pete", Ariana changed the song's title to "Pete Davidson" explaining to fans on Twitter that "music lasts forever" and that she loves his name.

Ariana also teased the opening lyrics of the song back in May in an Instagram caption.

i thought u into my life 💭 woah ! look at my mind 💡⚡️🙈

"Get Well Soon"

Most caption-worthy lyrics:

"Unfollow fear and just say, "You are blocked". Just know there is so much room at the top."

"It takes you and me to make us"

Ariana ends the album on a really encouraging note. In the lyrics she does a sort of call and response with herself - voicing her worries and then trying to get herself to "come back down" from the heights of panic she's built herself up to. "Get Well Soon" is quite literally a mantra and reminder to take care of yourself and "take care of your body".
