Ariana Grande took to Twitter to defend her clothes following complaints from fans.

Ariana Grande fans have been criticising her style on Twitter and now she's responded to them all and defended her clothes.

It's no secret that Ariana Grande has a signature look. Over the past couple of years, she's become known for her oversized hoodies, thigh-high boots and infamous ponytail. In fact, Ariana's style is so recognisable that, last May, Givenchy based an entire fashion campaign around Ariana's silhouette alone. People recognised it was Ari straight away. Iconique.

However, every now and then trolls, and even fans, make fun of what Ariana wears. People dress up like her on TikTok. There was even a viral trend in 2019 in which people pretended to be Ariana by doing everything with their sleeves covering their hands. It's since escalated to fans actively complaining about Ariana's style on Twitter and now she's addressed them.

Yesterday (Jan 15), a now deleted tweet went viral in which a fan had edited an Ariana paparazzi photo so that it looked like she was wearing a different outfit in it. Another fan then replied: "Like she’s been wearing the same boots/ long shirt combo for years..... we need the insta baddie". They then added: "she could easily stand out without wearing the same 2 outfits".

Noticing the tweets, Ariana tweeted back: "thank god i’m a singer then gimmeee a break. i don’t like having my photo taken, i escape the paparazzi almost every time. i never post photos that aren’t on stage but shit i promise i have cute ass clothes." The fans then replied: "ARIANA ILY PLEASE STOP YOU LOOK AMAZING" and "we jus want THEE BEST FOR YOU [sic]".

Understanding that the fans meant no ill intent with their tweets, Ariana then wrote: "i already know but also i’m never even seen like ever. i promise i look cute over here in my own world. i haven’t even been able to put on a pair of fuckin boots lately because of the traumatic image i have in my head of these uh.... tik tok “performers”".

Ariana continued: "i’ll remember to serve more for u on the gram tho. my mom will be happy lol."

In other words, Ariana is going to share more photos of her outfits on Instagram but what she wears is her choice. Whether you're fans of her not, it's important to understand that she is free to whatever she likes. Leave Ariana Grande alone 2020.
