Ariana Grande showed fans her real, curly hair in a brand new Instagram selfie.

Ariana Grande has posted a new photo of her natural hair on Instagram and she looks stunning.

Fans of Ariana will already know that she has a complicated relationship with her hair. The 26-year-old may be known for her signature ponytail now but in 2014, she had to release a statement on social media after she received so much flack over it.

She explained that dying her hair red for Victorious & Sam & Cat "completely destroyed" her hair and her extensions and ponytail helped her feel "comfortable." She also said that her hairs was "so broken" that it looked "absurd" down.

Since then, Ariana's grown out her real curly hair and now, she's shown fans what it looks like.

Taking to Instagram stories yesterday (Jul 21), Ariana posted a selfie in which her gorgeous brunette locks are on full display. She captioned it "growth" and it's true her hair really has grown. Ariana last posted a video of her natural curls in February, after sharing an adorable photo of herself when she was just 5, writing: "this is still exactly what i look like without lashes and my pony".

And sure enough, she was right. In the video Ariana's hair is a short bob length, just like it was when she was a child. Since then, it looks as though it's grown quite a bit. In the new photo, Ariana appears to have shoulder length hair and it's just as beautiful. Given how much Ariana struggled with her real hair previously, it's great to see her be so comfortable in it now.

It's currently unclear if Ariana plans to ditch her pony in favour of her natural curls but, either way, we stan.
