Ariana Grande's Coachella outfit pays tribute to Mac Miller in the sweetest way

Fans noticed that Ariana's backstage outfit had a special connection to the singer's late ex, Mac Miller.

Ariana Grande performed at Coachella this past weekend and the star brought out some very special guests. Ariana took took the stage with *NSYNC and Nicki Minaj during her Coachella set. The star also paid tribute to Mac Miller in a couple of subtle ways.

Fans noticed that Ariana was spotted in a yellow Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey while posing for a photo with Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez of *NSYNC.

Some fans believe the jersey is a small tribute to Mac, who was from Pittsburgh and was vocal about his support for The Steelers. The two even attended Steelers games together during their relationship.

Mac Miller was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and players for the NFL team mourned Mac Miller following the shocking news of his death last year.

During Ariana's actual performance with Diddy and Mase, the three honoured fallen hip-hop legends like Nipsey Hissle, Mac Miller, 2Pac and Biggie Smalls.

Ariana has paid tribute to Mac Miller in many small ways since his passing. Most recently, fans noticed that Mac's music was chosen to play before her opening song during her Sweetener tour. Fans also believe her song "ghostin'" interpolates instrumentals from Mac Miller's song "2009".
