The 'Dang!' rapper also alludes to Ariana on his new single 'What's the Use?'...
It's no secret that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's engagement has been one of the standout stories of the summer. The two superstars began dating in May and, ever since, the world has been swept away by their infectious romance. Every time the 'God Is A Woman' singer and the SNL comedian share glimpses of their relationship on social media, our cold hearts flutter. We are as obsessed with them as they are with each other.

However, just three months ago, Ariana was still in a two year relationship with Mac Miller. From the outside it appeared that the 'Dang!' rapper and 'Focus' hitmaker were in it for the longhaul, but Ariana announced the break-up via her Insta Stories. In it she said that the she "adores" Mac but the split was what's "best" for them. She later tweeted that their relationship was "toxic" and his struggles with his "sobriety" affected them.
While we stanned Mac and Ariana from afar, we're happy that they've both put their well-beings first and seem to now be in much better places. Ariana and Pete appear to be head over heels in love with each other and it looks like Mac has taken time to address his substance abuse issues. To top it all off, the 'Loud' artist has now commented on Ariana and Pete's engagement for the first time with nothing but love.
Chatting to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 shortly after releasing his new single 'What's the Use?', Mac said: "It's strange. Like, the whole thing is a little strange but it's not negative. It's just a part of something that's going to continue to help make me who I am. You know, it's all positive energy. I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I'm sure she is with me." Our hearts.

Mac also appears to allude to his past relationship with Ariana on 'What's the Use?'. The new song is a funk driven jam up there with his best work. In it, Mac ruminates on his addictions and even seems to reminisce about Ariana. The line: "Time we don't waste much, fuck and we wake up // Then have her sing just like Céline Dion" is likely a reference to Ariana's infamous Céline impressions.
Mac also addresses his past struggles and his haters on the new track: "When I had nothing shit it wasn't so funny // Made a promise to the homies nobody go hungry // Look how far we came, still they throwin' dirt on my name // But it never worried my brain".
Listen to 'What's the Use?' here.
Amazing. Mac is set to release his new album Swimming on August 3rd and will head out on tour this October.
We cannot wait to see how the rest of this era unfolds.

CHORUS: MAC MILLER & SNOOP DOGG
You can love it, you can leave it
And say you're nothing without it
Don't let them keep you down
What if I don't need it? There's something about it
That just freaks me out
I just want another minute with it, fuck up little, what's the use?
Never superficial you don't know it when it hit you
Get a little sentimental when I'm off the juice
VERSE 1: MAC MILLER
Yeah, okay we colder than the breeze
But the breeze ain't flowin' like me, motherfucker hol' up
You don't need to hol' up, yeah
And I can show you how I seem what it is what it truly might be
Nothing that you know of, you don't need to hol' up
I'm so above from beyond you take drugs to make it up
Way up where we on, space shuttle, Elon
Time we don't waste much, fuck and we wake up
Then have her sing just like Céline Dion
Catch me if you can but, you never catch me damn
Whole lotta "yes I am"
All the way in with no exit plan
Already left and the jet don't land
Yeah, the time is ticking
Come take a ride, get inside, this is highly different
I'm talking fly like a pilot would
Can I mind my business? Why you trippin'?
Give you somethin' that your eyes can witness
Ooh, too close
I don't understand why you doing the most
CHORUS: MAC MILLER & SNOOP DOGG
You can love it, you can leave it
And say you're nothing without it
Don't let them keep you down
What if I don't need it? There's something about it
That just freaks me out
I just want another minute with it, fuck up little, what's the use?
Never superficial you don't know it when it hit you
Get a little sentimental when I'm off the juice
VERSE 2: MAC MILLER
When I'mma give you what you came for, yeah
Shoulda perk too hard to have a clue who you are
Set the bar so far but par we can parlay all day
Crib long range with the yard
I know I should probably pray more but you gotta love me
'Cuz I save the day spendin' money
When I had nothing shit it wasn't so funny
Made a promise to the homies nobody go hungry
Look how far we came, still they throwin' dirt on my name
But it never worried my brain
Heads turnin' like a hurricane swervin'
Tell the sun get up outta my shade
If they don't get the picture, cut 'em out of my frame, shit
I'm up 30 thou miles plus change
Spend a while but I'm down 'till I'm out
And it is what it is 'til it ain't
BRIDGE: THUNDERCAT
CHORUS: MAC MILLER & SNOOP DOGG
You can love it, you can leave it
And say you're nothing without it
Don't let them keep you down
What if I don't need it? There's something about it
That just freaks me out
I just want another minute with it, fuck up little, what's the use?
What's the use?
Never superficial you don't know it when it hit you
Get a little sentimental when I'm off the juice
OUTRO: SNOOP DOGG
You can love it
It just freaks me out
