Billie Eilish showed fans her nail injury on Instagram and it's quite something.

Dear friends, family and fans, we are gathered here today to mourn the loss of Billie Eilish's fingernail.

Billie Eilish is known for her signature look. As soon as she first rose to fame in 2015, she quickly began developing a unique sense of style. From her baggy clothes (there's a reason why she always wears them) to her incredible dyed hair (blue, grey or green, we have no choice but to stan), it's safe to say that Billie has an instantly recognisable image. Fans will already know that this image includes really long acrylic nails. However, it looks like this is about to change.

Billie ripped off one of her nails recently and it's all because she was wearing long acrylics.

Taking to Instagram stories yesterday (Jul 30), Billie posted a photo of her injured finger, alongside the caption: "okay now its REALLY enough with the nails." Not only is one of her green acrylics missing in the picture but the real nail has come off and her finger is covered in blood. Yes. It looks really painful. The picture was taken from on top of a horse, so it looks like Billie hurt herself riding.

And this isn't the first time that Billie has had an acrylic related injury while riding. Just one week ago (Jul 24), she uploaded a similar photo to her Instagram stories in which she had accidentally poked a hole in her hand with one of her nails. At the time Billie wrote: "okay enough with the nails" and "that shit is literally a hole".

Horrifying, right? We don't know if it's the nails or the riding or a combination of both but, either way, we'll be avoiding both. It's unclear whether or not Billie will actually take her own advice (she loves a long nail) but we wouldn't blame her if she gives up the acrylic life for good.
