Some fans are claiming that Camila is blocking people who are criticising her and Shawn online.

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have gone through quite a lot since the beginning of their relationship. From fans querying if their relationship is ‘real’ to suggestions they’ve been staging paparazzi photos together as part of a PR stunt, the couple have had to go through more than most of us do in the early days of romance.

But now it seems like Camila might be taking extra steps to let us know she’s not happy with people criticising their relationship. Some fans are claiming that Camila has stopped following and blocking people who are criticising her and Shawn online.

“The way camila keeps blocking everyone who talks shit about their relationship she said shawn you take that break I got this…” one wrote, while another added: “the way camila is blocking everyone who is disrespecting her relationship”, along with a well-placed applause emoji.

Another added: “I live for Camila blocking everyone who disrespects her or her loved ones.”

Some fans are even suggesting that it could be someone on Camila’s team with access to her social media blocking fans instead.

One wrote: “I do think her team are the ones that log on to do that so that Camila herself doesn’t have to be the one to see it.”

Another fan said: “I think it's camila's team blocking haters and not camila”.

Whether Camila is actually blocking people or not, she’s well within her right not to feel like she needs to define or explain her relationships publicly.

She did however touch on her relationship with Shawn in a recent interview with Variety. "I’ve known Shawn for such a long time, and it’s so much fun getting to work and do things with somebody who means a lot to you,” she explained.

And although she didn’t mention Shawn by name, she did say that while her first album was mainly about “crushes from afar”, her new album will be about what’s happening in her life right now.

"Falling in love is like an infinite amount of levels and layers and angles,” she said. “I fell in love and just opened up. Everything was written in the present moment.”

Please. Our hearts. <3
