People were trolling Cardi after she won Best Rap Album at the Grammys...

Cardi B really did that. In the space of just two years, she proved all of her naysayers wrong and went from being a reality TV star to one of the biggest recording artists in the world right now. From record breaking Number 1 singles ('Bodak Yellow', 'I Like It') to a critically acclaimed hit album (Invasion of Privacy), few people have risen to global superstardom as quickly and brilliantly as Cardi.

Cardi B's Grammy's red carpet dress has already been turned into a meme

This weekend Cardi took things to next level by performing at the Grammys for the second time and by winning her first Grammy. Cardi made rap history by becoming the first female rapper to ever win Best Rap Album at the prestigious awards ceremony. However, Cardi's iconic achievement was marred by trolls and she's now deleted her beloved Instagram page.

Why did Cardi B delete her Instagram?

Fans of Mac Miller were upset that he didn't win the Best Rap Album award (even though Cardi dedicated her award to him), fans of Nicki Minaj were disappointed that the Grammys awarded Cardi before Nicki (even though Nicki congratulated all of the winners), and other people were just hating on Cardi in general. It all escalated to the point where Cardi spoke up about it.

Taking to Instagram, Cardi shared a video saying: "It's not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else. That's not my style and that's not what I'm with and I don't support that. However I've been taking a lot of shit today. I'm seeing a lot of bullshit today and I saw a lot of shit last night and I'm sick of this shit."

She then said: "I fucking worked my ass off, locked myself in the studio for three months my n**** and then went to sleep in my own bed sometimes for four days straight, pregnant! Some songs couldn't even get on the fucking album because my nose was so fucking stuffy from my pregnancy. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't do shit."

Shortly after sharing the video Cardi deactivated her Instagram page.

Alongside the hate, Cardi also received a lot of love.

Awards are subjective but Cardi has earned hers. She's one of the hardest working stars in the music industry today and she makes hits which people love. Invasion of Privacy was a commercial success and critically acclaimed, so its no wonder that it won a Grammy. Trolling Cardi for her success is not on.

Fingers crossed that Cardi returns to Instagram soon.
