The Californian godfathers of all things pop punk, Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt found fame with their massive album "Dookie", spawning 5 (!) hit singles and selling over 20m copies.
They would later produce the ultimate graduation/sitcom finale montage song with 'Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)' before reinventing themselves with the political rock opera "American Idiot" and the anti-Trump anthems of 2016's "Revolution Radio". It should also be noticed that Tré has the definition of "very good hair".
Fun fact: Before settling on the name "Dookie", Green Day had a list of other terms for poop that they considered using as the album title including "Bum Chocolate", "Stink Pile" and, of course, "Dangling Ass Goblins".
