Halsey is a singer and songwriter from New York who was on that ‘Closer’ song with The Chainsmokers that you really loved at first but hated on the millionth listen.
As with all the good things on the internet, Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (her real name) became Tumblr famous well before the rest of the world discovered her. One of her early videos, a parody song about Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, went viral but has since been erased off the internet. Sad times. She signed a record deal not long after that and released her debut album Badlands in 2015. Halsey also featured on Justin Bieber’s Purpose album and sung with The Chainsmokers on 'Closer', which went to no 1 everywhere for far too long.
Fun fact: Halsey changes her hair so much that no one can remember what she actually looks like any more.
