Ariana received backlash for posting a Mac Miller tribute on Instagram...

There's no question that Ariana Grande is one of the biggest popstars in the world right now. This year alone she has topped charts internationally with her critically acclaimed fourth studio album Sweetener, stole the show at major awards shows and released multiple hit songs. From 'no tears left to cry' to 'thank u, next', the 25 year old star has officially established herself as the new princess of pop.

However, there is a darker side to her ever growing stardom. All year long trolls have made horrible claims about Ariana and it's gotten out of hand once again. In September, beloved rapper Mac Miller died just months after he and Ariana broke up. Since then Ariana's paid tribute to him various times on social media but now trolls are accusing her of "milking his death" and enough is enough.

Ever the queen Halsey just shut down the grief police on behalf of Ariana in the most epic way.

In response to an article about Ariana paying homage to Mac on social media, someone retweeted it writing: "She milkin this shit brah". It should go without saying that this sort of judgemental behaviour is wrong. Ariana lost someone very dear to her and she should be able to grieve him without trolls criticising her. Never one to let bullshit slide, Halsey clapped back: "Man shut the fuck up."

Grief police, thank u, next.

Check out the incredible interaction here.

That's not all though. Ariana also alluded to how these sort of tweets and comments make her feel. Our fave tweeted: "some of the shit i read on here makes me sick to my stomach. it scares me the way some people think and i don’t like this world a lot of the time. if only we could be more compassionate and gentle with one another. that’d be sick." An eloquent icon.

Halsey then replied to her writing: "ari the world could only dream of being as compassionate and gentle as you. and since ur being, as always, so classy and nice, allow me the honor of telling them to shut the fuck up" and Ariana responded by tweeting: "i love you very much."

Nothing but respect for our presidents.

Our hearts. We stan this friendship so much.
