People think Camila Cabello stole the visuals for 'Shameless' and 'Liar' from Halsey.

Camila Cabello is being accused of copying Halsey's hopeless fountain kingdom visuals with her new Romance era.

Halsey and Camila Cabello are two of the most successful artists in the music industry right now. Over the course of just five years, Halsey has transformed from a Tumblr star into one of the most popular popstars on the planet. Meanwhile, Camila's gone from being a member of a chart-topping girl group to topping the charts on her own.

Both stars scored their second US number 1 singles this year ('Without Me', 'Señorita') and both are currently launching new album campaigns.

However, Halsey fans are now claiming that Camila is "stealing" the aesthetic for her new singles, 'Shameless' and 'Liar', from Halsey.

This week, Camila Cabello kicked off her highly anticipated new era. First she released a video titled 'What Do I Know About Love?' in which she recites dramatic poetry about... love. Then she began to post imagery from her new album and revealed that it's called Romance. And, last but not least, she confirmed that she is dropping not one but two new singles tomorrow (Sep 5), called 'Liar' and 'Shameless'.

However, Halsey fans are now accusing Camila of ripping off her hopeless fountain kingdom aesthetic. All of Camila's recent visuals use a baroque aesthetic and font similar to Halsey's last era. Halsey is also known for using poetry in her music and Camila's video teaser for 'Liar' and 'Shameless' uses tarot cards to reveal their titles just like Halsey used for her hopeless fountain kingdom single art.

One Halsey fan replied to Camila's latest 'Liar' and 'Shameless' announcement writing: "Halsey spent years creating the hfk concept, literally she had been planning it since 2014 and you're ripping it off and not even trying to hide it??" and another wrote: "love camila but she’s literally copying hopeless fountain kingdom".

It's true that there are similarities between the two projects. Camila was likely inspired by Halsey, just as Halsey was heavily inspired by Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet to create hopeless fountain kingdom. However, it looks like there is no negativity between the two artists themselves.

Just this week, Halsey shutdown rumours that she was throwing shade at Camila. After tweeting and deleting: "ohhhh so it’s just hopeless fountain kingdom but not. okaaay.", she explained: "just posted a 2 year old draft by accident. pls forgive me I’m getting too old for technology."

Plus Halsey and Camila have regularly been supportive of each other both on and off social media.

Halsey releases her new single 'Graveyard' next Friday (Sep 13) and, as we've mentioned, Camila is putting out 'Liar' and 'Shameless' tomorrow (Sep 5). We can't wait to hear what both stars have got up their sleeves.

What do you think of Camila's new aesthetic?
