Halsey Opens Up About Heartbreaking Miscarriage, Perfectly Destroys Bullies In the Process

"I'd say I hope you understand one day but I wouldn't wish this upon anyone."
Halsey has never been one to shy away from speaking about personal issues. In fact, she's a pretty much a force of inspiration when it comes to being open about sexuality, mental health and women's health issues that are often considered taboo. But it's her latest interview with Rolling Stone that's one of her most vulnerable and honest yet.

Last year, before she even released her killer debut album "Badlands", Halsey discovered she was pregnant. She recalls the moment in a hotel Chicago when she started thinking about how the situation could affect her career.
"What happens? Do I lose my record deal? Do I lose everything? Or do I keep (the pregnancy)? What are the fans going to think? What are the moms going to think? What is the Midwest going to think? What's fucking everyone going to think?"

Before she had any time to decide what to do, she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage - hours before she was due to go out on stage and perform for 3 million viewers with Vevo LIFT. After initially wanted to cancel the entire show - and potentially risk her career in the process - she decided to perform.
"It's the angriest performance that I've ever done in my life. That was the moment of my life where I thought to myself, 'I don't feel like a fucking human being anymore.' This thing, this music, Halsey, whatever it is that I'm doing, took precedence and priority over every decision that I made regarding this entire situation from the moment I found out until the moment it went wrong."

Halsey's decision to talk about this very personal issue on a platform as large as Rolling Stone is pretty important and will more than likely help many women suffering through the same loss.
Since the interview was published, Halsey has received endless heartwarming messages from fans around the world so she took to Twitter to express her gratitude - and have a firm word with the bullies.
