Halsey Shows Support For Teenage Trans Fan With Surgery Fund Donation

Halsey has continued to show her support for the LGBTQ community by donating to a trans teenager's online fund for surgery.

18 year old Alexander Bennett from Massachusetts started a crowdfunding page in order to afford surgery before he starts college next year to train as a teacher.
Top surgery will help me "pass" better in day to day life as male. I have started hormone replacement therapy (HRT, taking testosterone weekly). "Binding" my chest everyday has already taken a toll on my back already weak shoulders and the only way to avoid this would be getting "top surgery" to eliminate the binding from my life. Any donation will help to get me one step closer to the gender affirming surgery I need to live comfortably.

Alex aims to raise $5000 for the surgery and has received many supportive messages online from donors.
And his cause got a great boost this past weekend as Halsey donated $1000 towards his goal.

Fresh from her appearance at the AMAs, Halsey also took to Twitter to express her support for Alex and, in turn, encourage fans to donate too.
