Watermelon Sugar video models praise Harry Styles and call him ‘Consent King’

PSA: The summer of eating watermelons in a very suggestive manner is upon us. By now, you'll have probably seen Harry Styles' brand new music video for 'Watermelon Sugar'. If you haven't, here's the link.

The video, which is dedicated to touching, features Harry surrounded by a group of very attractive people, frolicking on the beach and taking bites out of slices of watermelon. It's like the wholesome(-ish) summer version of his sweaty, shirtless orgy in the 'Lights Up' video.

But while the alleged meaning of the song hints that it's not a family show, the people who were cast in the video have been sharing their experiences about how Harry made sure that everyone was comfortable and that consent was given during filming.

In an Instagram Live, models Ephrata and Aalany McMahan spoke about their positive experiences on set and working with Harry.

"The people were telling him to touch my hair and play with it and he was like, 'Wait, wait, wait, pause – can I even touch your hair? Is that even okay?'" Ephrata said. "And I was like, 'Yeah, that's so nice. That was really sweet.'"

Aalany agreed, saying: "He was very huge on the consent." Ephrata then calls Harry the "Consent King".

"They had told me to kiss him and then he was like– I was like I felt like I had to ask too, you know what I mean? I was like, 'Are you sure you want me to?' And he was like 'yes, go ahead,'" Ephrata continued. "It's funny, he was like 'Consent Queen!' And I was like 'stop!'"

The pair also agreed that the reason the video was so fun to shoot was because everyone was so comfortable" and "nothing felt forced."
