This is the second time that Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas have ever been nominated at the Grammy Awards.

It's official. The Jonas Brothers are now two-time Grammy Award nominees and it's all thanks to their Number 1 hit 'Sucker'.

Earlier this year, the Jonas Brothers shocked fans by announcing a surprise comeback. The band split up in 2013 when Nick decided to go solo. The breakup was on bad terms but time heals all wounds and now Nick, Joe and Kevin are close again. If that weren't enough, they're also back together, happier than ever and more successful than they've ever been. The trio topped charts all around the world with their single, 'Sucker', in April and with their album, Happiness Begins, in June.

Now the boys are fronting a sold-out world tour and they've just got their first Grammy nomination since reuniting.

Yesterday (Nov 20), the Grammys announced their 2020 nominations and Lizzo, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande are all up for major awards. However, the Jonas Brothers also made the cut. The siblings have been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for 'Sucker', against Ariana Grande and Social House for 'Boyfriend', Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus for 'Old Town Road', Post Malone and Swae Lee for 'Sunflower' and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello for 'Señorita'.

The band took to Instagram to react to the news. They explained: "It started with an idea of doing a Vegas residency with no new music and, eventually, we got to a place where we were all okay with doing a documentary of some kind telling a story of the past. We weren’t all the way there though. The road to get where we are today was not easy, it took a lot of healing and time to even be comfortable with doing something together. This isn’t just a band, this is our family."

They then added: "There were some really tough moments that had to happen for us to get to this place but it’s right where we are supposed to be. This has truly been our greatest year yet. We get to be back on stage together again, as brothers, where we belong and making music that we love and are proud of. We truly couldn’t be happier...as artists, as friends, and as brothers. To think a year ago we hadn’t even released music... This nomination means the world."

Joe, Nick and Kevin ended the post writing: "Thank you to the best fans - we know how much this year and this comeback has meant to you guys too. Thank you to our guy @ryantedder. Thank you @recordingacademy for the nomination. Thank you, everyone, for believing in us!"

Kevin also posted a video of the boys finding out the news and screaming with joy.

On January 13, 2018 we were all in Mammoth having a boys weekend and ended up having some very honest conversations. It started with an idea of doing a Vegas residency with no new music and eventually we got to a place where we were all okay with doing a documentary of some kind telling a story of the past. We weren’t all the way there though. The road to get where we are today was not easy, it took a lot of healing and time to even be comfortable with doing something together. This is the second time that the Jonas Brothers have been nominated for a Grammy. The boys were previously nominated for Best New Artist in 2009. It's great to see the band be honoured again. Huge congratulations Nick, Joe and Kevin!
