'Stupid Love' from her upcoming sixth album leaked earlier this week.

What a rollercoaster of a week it’s been for Lady Gaga fans. The first single from her upcoming sixth album was rumoured to be heading our way in February but that plan came to an end when a track called ‘Stupid Love’ appeared online overnight, meaning the world got a preview of LG6 earlier than expected.

But after a period of silence, Gaga has now responded to the leak in the funniest way.

It’s not the first time Gaga has responded to her music being leaked. In her 2017 documentary Five Foot Two, Gaga speaks about being devastated when her fifth album Joanne leaked ahead of its release date.

This time however, Gaga’s response took a more light-hearted turn. Posting a stock image of someone slyly listening to music while wearing a balaclava, she wrote: “Can y’all stop”.

Fans previously pointed out that Gaga (kind of) teased the track all the way back in October in a Halloween post, where the title of the song can be seen on a phone screen in the corner of the photo.

But Gaga still hasn’t officially announced the song or its release date, and her team have managed to take most of the leak offline.

But we can only assume new music will be officially heading our way soon. Back in December, Lady Gaga joked that she was working so hard on the album she couldn’t “remember” the last time she “bathed” and back in March she claimed she was “pregnant” with her new album.

Not long to wait now, Monsters!
