Doja Cat says she lied about showing her breasts if ‘Say So’ went Number 1

Doja, please, what does it mean?

Doja Cat has officially responded after Lana Del Rey mentioned her, alongside fellow artists including Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé, in an Instagram rant while clapping back at accusations that her music glamorises abuse.

Posted yesterday (May 21), Lana writes that now artists like Doja, Cardi and Nicki "have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, fucking, cheating etc," can she go back to singing about "being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money" without being crucified?

The post caught quite a bit of backlash and shortly after being posted, Doja left a comment directly under the post that said: "gang sunk that dunker." The comment was liked by thousands of people before it was deleted.

But the issue is that no one quite understands what Doja meant by the comment. And now fans are trying to figure out what it actually means.

What does 'gang sunk that dunker' mean?

While searching Twitter to try and find out what Doja actually meant by the comment, it appears as though there's a few interpretations of the basketball analogy. With several explanations circulating on social media, fans can't work out if Doja was agreeing with Lana or absolutely not agreeing with her.

A fan on the Lana Del Rey subreddit writes: "She’s saying that her fans called out Lana very early, before she even made the ‘goal’. It’s a basketball reference, like when someone sinks your ball and stops your shot. Doja’s saying everyone stopped her shot."

A twitter user said: "apparently this is a basketball reference that means yall stopped her shot before she was able to make her point..... which i mean is exactly what yall did"

Some people think that the comment meant that Doja was saying 'points were made' but a lot of people are taking the comment to mean that Lana tried to dunk with the post mentioning all those other women, but her shot was sunk by "gang," who in this case are the fans who called her out on it.

Either way, everyone is still very very confused...

Guess we won't find out what it actually means until Doja explains it.
