Liam Payne claps back at ‘lies’ about his girlfriend Maya Henry’s real age

Liam took to Twitter to explain how old his girlfriend Maya Henry really is.

Liam Payne and girlfriend Maya Henry went public with their relationship in September this year and since then, the two of them have regularly been spotted kissing and holding hands in public. Not only that but they've also been sharing romantic posts about each other on social media.

Liam may be getting intimate with Stella Maxwell in his Hugo underwear campaign but IRL he's only got eyes for Maya. He recently thanked Maya on Instagram for "always keeping the biggest smile on his face".

Yesterday (Nov 7), Liam responded to a thread regarding Maya's real age and shut down the rumours that she is younger than 19.

How old is Maya Henry?

Earlier this week (Nov 4), a Twitter thread went viral claiming that publications are 'falsely' reporting that Maya is older than she really is and that her relationship with Liam is for publicity. The first tweet in the thread stated: "Every article about Liam’s girlfriend says she’s 19 when she’s actually 18. This is intentional because when fabricating this ridiculous PR campaign for her they said that they’ve been together for a year, which would mean that Liam was dating a 17 y/o. She’s a senior in HS."

Never one to let lies go unchecked, Liam clapped back. He tweeted: "19 don’t believe everything you read on the internet".

While there is no official record of Maya's birthday online, most sites report that she is 19-years-old.

Before dating Liam and becoming a model, Maya was actually a huge One Direction fan. She first met Liam in 2015 at a One Direction meet and greet. They also crossed paths in July 2018 at a Dolce & Gabbana event, shortly after Liam publicly split from British popstar, Cheryl, who is the mother of Liam's two-year-old son, Bear.
