Lil Nas X rolling out a scroll at the VMAs has become a hysterical meme

Lil Nas X will forever be a mood.

If we needed anymore proof that Lil Nas X is the meme king then here it is. The 'Old Town Road' singer blew up on TikTok because of his abilities to work the internet and now his MTV Video Music Award speech has become a hilarious meme.

Lil Nas X picked up the Song of the Year award for 'Old Town Road (Remix)' featuring Billy Ray Cyrus at Monday night's ceremony (26 Aug). As he took to the stage, he thanked Billy for helping him "take his career to the next level" before saying he had a "little speech" prepared and pulling out a lengthy scroll.

However, once the scroll hit the floor, Lil Nas X uttered just two words: "Thank you." Of course, the crowd burst into laughter including singer Lizzo, who was is in hysterics in the audience.

It didn't take long for the internet to do its thing and now Lil Nas X's speech is a meme.
