Lorde Was Forced To Delete An “Insensitive” Pic Of A Bathtub With Whitney Houston Lyrics

We've all been there - uploading pics of your bath bombs fizzing in the water just before you're about to jump in and relax. But next time you do it, do not - under circumstances - caption it with Whitney Houston lyrics like Lorde just did.
Yes. Lorde uploaded a picture of a bath tub to Instagram yesterday (April 6) and captioned it with the iconic lyrics of Whitney's 'I Will Always Love You'. Of course, the image and caption were just paired together without any harmful intent but unfortunately, the circumstances in which Whitney passed away didn't seem to cross her mind when she hit the post button.
In case you forgot, Whitney tragically drowned in a hotel bathtub in 2012 after an overdose. 😬

Fans were quick to point out the awkward mistake and flocked to her comment section telling her to edit the caption or take it down completely. Some were pretty offended by her comment, while others gave her the benefit of the doubt.

Lorde eventually removed the tweet and apologised on several platforms, clearly distraught over the mishap. She wrote an apology an Instagram story after deleting the initial post saying, “Extremely extremely poorly chosen quote. I’m so sorry for offending anyone—I hadn’t even put this together I was just excited to take a bath.”
She followed up the story with: “IT IS NOT MY FKN DAY TODAY”.
She also commented on The Shade Room's screenshot of her initial post with an apology saying, "I am SO sorry everyone this was a deeply poorly chosen quote about my love of bathing. I was meaning no disrespect and hadn't put anything together because I'm dumb and it's my day off. SORRY"
It was an accident. Sh*t happens. Don't post pictures of your bath with Whitney lyrics. And in all fairness to Lorde, that's how you apologise.
