Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are being called out for dressing up as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee for Halloween.
Ever since Hulu's Pam & Tommy came out earlier this year, there has been a renewed interest in the relationship of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. The series explores how the two stars were treated after their sex tape was stolen and leaked without their consent. Both Lily James and Sebastian Stan received rave reviews for their performances in the show.
However, the series has also been heavily criticised for being made without Pamela's permission or involvement. On top of that, it's also been called out for "romanticising" Pamela and Tommy's relationship. In real life, Tommy was arrested for hitting Pamela and he was sentenced to six months in Los Angeles Country Jail on charges of spousal abuse.
In the wake of the show, this Halloween has seen a rise in Pam and Tommy costumes and now stars including the likes of Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Jesy Nelson and Rebecca Black are facing backlash for dressing up as the couple.

This weekend (Oct 30), both MGK and Megan took to Instagram to show that they had dressed up as Pam and Tommy this Halloween. MGK even posted a video of him snorting fake cocaine off of Megan's breasts. Megan captioned her post with the comment: "But are these even costumes". Jesy Nelson and Rebecca Black also showed off similar costumes.
The costumes immediately came under fire. One person tweeted: "The pam and tommy costumes, the amber and johnny costumes, the jeffrey dahmer costumes... this is all very sick and twisted behaviour from a society that lacks empathy."
Addressing MGK and Megan specifically, another added: "So tired of seeing people dress up as Pam and Tommy. It’s so tone deaf and it romanticizes the abuse that Pam went through."

So tired of seeing people dress up as Pam and Tommy. It’s so tone deaf and it romanticizes the abuse that Pam went through. Not surprised MGK and Megan did this though. pic.twitter.com/Mn4QW4TVGh— Lauryn | Stream The Car by Arctic Monkeys (@artgettingdark) October 29, 2022
