My Chemical Romance posted a mysterious black and white image and fans immediately drew comparisons to The Patient character from their iconic ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ video.

We’ve been pretty excited since My Chemical Romance made their surprising comeback late last year. But aside from announcing a bunch of new tour dates, we’ve yet to hear any new music from the band.

Some fans think that might all be about to change though. Yesterday evening (Jan 14), the band posted a mysterious black and white image of what seems to be a person draped in a cloth in a hospital room, accompanied by a vampire emoji.

Fans immediately drew comparisons to the band’s The Black Parade album and The Patient character from their iconic ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ video.

Others suggested that the vampire emoji links back to the band’s first album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.

Obviously these are just fan theories and nothing is confirmed yet but just imagine how epic a Black Parade sequel would be?

Here's what MCR fans have been saying.

Another theory is that the figure under the sheet is actually an angel…

...or maybe that the image combines all of the band’s ‘eras’ into one.

Could this mean The Patient is returning? Is there going to be a sequel of some sort to The Black Parade? We have no idea, but *something* exciting is definitely happening.
