Nicki Minaj Shouting 'To Freedom!' On Queen Radio Is Now A Meme And We're Crying

It's hard to keep up with all of the Nicki Minaj news lately. The 'Moment 4 Life' rapper released her critically acclaimed fourth studio album Queen two weeks ago and a lot has happened since then. First people couldn't get over how hilarious Nicki's new single 'Barbie Dreams' is, then Nicki got caught up in some Travis Scott drama and, perhaps best of all, Nicki let the world know that 'Normani is that bitch' at the VMAs.

That's not all though. There's also been a whole host of laugh out loud memes. From the Nicki vs. Stormi meme to the Nicki and Ariana meme, the 'Anaconda' hitmaker has blessed us with so much content lately. However, it's her latest meme that stands out the most. Nicki Minaj saying (well, shouting) 'TO FREEDOM!' has taken over the internet and it's too funny for words.

For context, Nicki recently caught flack for comparing herself to Harriet Tubman (infamous American abolitionist and political activist). When airing her frustrations about music industry politics, the star tweeted: "All the QUEENS I remember, SHOOK SHIT UP!!!!!!!! Queen of the week may go to HARRIET TUBMAN!!!!!! Had she just sat there & ate her rice, you n****z history would’ve been a lot less triumphant."

Nicki then misquoted Harriet and tweeted: "She said she could’ve rescued more slaves had they known they were slaves. I fought for streaming services to count toward billboard when alotta n****z stayed quiet". Not stopping there though, Nicki then went on to reference Harriet on her Queen radio show and it's this quote that's become an iconic meme.

Talking to her detractors, Nicki said: "You think Harriet Tubman was walkin around with a nice shiny fuckin dress on with a fuckin crown on her head when she was takin slaves *explosion noise* TO FREEDOM!'" From the sound effects to the rallying cry, it's too funny for words and people are now applying it to everyday situations.
