Selena Gomez released 'Feel Me' as a surprise for fans to celebrate the release of her new album Rare on vinyl.
Selena Gomez has released a surprise single called 'Feel Me' and fans are convinced that the lyrics are about Justin Bieber.
Selena Gomez first performed 'Feel Me' on her Revival Tour back in 2016. Many fans speculated that Selena would release it as the lead single on her next album. However, due to health complications, the new album was delayed and Selena never released 'Feel Me'.

When Selena did release her third studio album Rare this year, 'Feel Me' was absent from the tracklist but it's out now.

Selena doesn't mention anyone by name in the lyrics but they appear to be about loving someone truly just for them to leave you and want you back. Selena sings: "No one love you like I love ya / Never cheat, never lie / Never put no one above ya / I gave you space and time / And now you're telling me you miss it / And I'm still on your mind."
In the chorus, Selena then wants her ex to "feel" her when they're with someone else. She sings: "Every time your lips touch another / I want you to feel me." In the second verse, Selena adds: "Where do you go to hide? When she ain't giving you enough to get you through the night," and "Baby, 'long as you're not with me, you'll always be alone."

It's essentially a petty, triumphant kiss-off that will no doubt resonate with anyone who's ever had someone dump them only to try and get back with them. Given Selena and Justin's romantic history, fans think it's about him and their relationship.
Selena and Justin dated on-off between 2010 and 2018 and they were on a break in 2016 when Selena recorded 'Feel Me'. Justin initially dated Hailey Baldwin, while he was on a break with Selena, between December 2015 and January 2016.

Selena actually explained to fans why 'Feel Me' was originally cut from Rare on Twitter. A fan asked her: "is there any possibility that you can release feel me?" and Selena responded. She revealed: "That song was from when I was in a different place and doesn't fit with where I am right now."
Nevertheless, fans begged Selena to put it out and now she has released it as part of the vinyl edition of Rare. Today (Feb 21), Selena tweeted: "On the Revival Tour, I introduced a song that you guys haven’t stopped talking about since. Soo you asked and I listened. Today, Feel Me is out online and vinyl everywhere".

Given that Selena wrote 'Feel Me' in 2016, it doesn't look like she is taking any direct shots at Justin or his wife Hailey. As she said, she's just listened to fans and released it because they "won't stop talking about it". A generous queen.
