Rare Beauty is the new makeup brand by singer Selena Gomez, and is set to be released in Summer 2020, exclusively at Sephora, following the announcement of its launch in February. It will be available globally in 2021.

Selena Gomez fans have been excited for the launch of Rare Beauty since it was announced at the beginning of February, and now she's put a call-out because she wants you to be in the first campaign.

The collection, which launches exclusively at Sephora in North America this summer, and globally in 2021, is the singer's first move into tapping the gender-neutral makeup market, and previously summed it up by saying: "Rare Beauty aims to find beauty in what society considers 'imperfect' and build a community that shapes conversations around beauty, self-acceptance, and mental health."

The introduction of the brand is perfectly timed with the launch of her album, also titled Rare, which touches on her previous kidney transplant and has seen fans across the globe unite on a journey of self-love. We love to see it.

With the initial launch coming in a couple of months, the 'Lose You To Love Me' singer has now asked fans to get involved, offering the chance to be one of the first to try the products, and go to LA to be part of the #WeAreRare campaign. Who doesn't want to be the first to try the products? Sign us up.

Speaking of the community call, Selena said: “I’m so excited to have a chance to talk to you guys about something that we’re building.

“We want to build a community full of authentic connection and authentic stories.

“Basically, all we want is to hear stories that make you feel rare. Whether that’s something you’ve overcome, or it’s an internal struggle or something that you love about yourself that you’re confident in who you are - we want to hear all kinds of stories."

The prospect of being involved with Selena's brand has undoubtably excited fans, and leaving a message of what makes you rare on the brands website (www.rarebeauty.com) may just be enough to secure you a spot on the shoot.

You'll also need to supply your Sephora Colour IQ, which is a computer log of your exact foundation shade, as they want to make sure that all skin tones and types are represented, as well as your Instagram handle.

The competition is open until 11:59pm EST on 1st March so there's not long to go, and applicants will be notified by 9th March, but you must be available to travel 30th March until 1st April 2020.

Unfortunately, you have to be a US resident to be considered (don't worry she has said more will be coming up soon!), but if you are lucky enough to live in the states, the brand will cover your travel to Los Angeles.

If this isn't one for you, we'll sure as hell be strutting down to Sephora as soon as that collection drops too.
