Selena Gomez announces new Rare Beauty makeup line for all genders

Rare Beauty will be available in Sephora stores in the US this summer and globally in 2021.
Selena Gomez has just revealed that she is launching a new makeup line called Rare Beauty and it's inclusive of all genders.
Taking to Instagram yesterday (4 Feb), Selena Gomez wrote: "Guys, I’ve been working on this special project for two years and can officially say Rare Beauty is launching in @sephora stores in North America this summer! Follow @rarebeauty and become part of our beautiful community. Here’s a tiny sneak. There’s more to share AND I can’t wait."

Selena also posted a video alongside the announcement explaining what Rare Beauty is and why she decided to create it.
In the video, Selena says: "Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I've stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me. I think Rare Beauty can be more than a beauty brand. I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other and start embracing our own uniqueness. You're not defined by a photo, a like or a comment."
Selena also states: "Rare Beauty isn't about how other people see you, it's about how you see yourself."
As it stands, Selena hasn't revealed what products Rare Beauty will be releasing but she did do an Instagram Live in which she spoke at length about the brand. Selena said: "This was something I started working on two years ago. I found the right partners and the right team. Right now we have 20 amazing people that are working for the brand."
She then added: "I wanted to make a brand where you feel comfortable. I think people feel the pressure, I know I do, where you kind of feel like you have to look like everybody else. I want it to be something that you guys love and it's not just a brand, it's gonna be a lifestyle."
Selena also confirmed that Rare Beauty is for all genders. She explained: "I want girls and boys and men and women and everyone to enjoy it because it's meant to be enjoyed. It's very special."
Selena ended the video saying: "We're not meant to look like everybody else. We are meant to look like ourselves, like you. You're rare." She also teased that Rare Beauty will be coming out globally in 2021.
