Selena Gomez Is Being Called Out For Lip Syncing Her Entire AMAs Performance

There might have been some pre-performance issues...
Selena Gomez took to the stage at the AMAs last night (Nov 19) to perform her brand new track 'Wolves' with Marshmello in her first on-stage performance in over a year.
Selena had been teasing her first and only TV performance of the year (and first since her major kidney surgery) for a while and she even dyed her hair blonde for the occasion.
Unfortunately, fans were left disappointed after the performance because they thought that Selena was lip-syncing through the whole thing.
The second Selena lifted the mic to the mouth, people descended on Twitter to absolutely drag her for it.
I respect Selena so much for everything she's been through, but girl needs to stop with the lip syncing— njh (@NiallxLaurmani) November 20, 2017
They made a big deal of this being Selena Gomez's only tv performance of the year... and she's OBVIOUSLY lip syncing— debo.♔♕ (@_therealSag) November 20, 2017
Come through lip syncing and prerecorded vocals miss Selena 😬— 🥚🐣🐥 (@jimindrop) November 20, 2017
While some thought you could clearly see Selena lip-syncing from space, it was also pretty obvious that she didn't seem comfortable on stage. She seemed very subdued and at the end of the performance, she appeared to dismiss the applause with a shrug and a sad smile.
Selena's army of stans defended her on Twitter, some citing *unconfirmed* reports that she suffered a panic attack before the performance.
There was a rumor that Selena had a panic attack during her performance, we don't know how true this is but could be why she looked sad throughout 😔.but no matter what we are grateful for everything she has done and #WeAreProudOfSelena. #SelenaxAMAs #AMAs. pic.twitter.com/6MDukNfSwO— Selena Gomez News (@LifeWithSelG) November 20, 2017
Selena supposedly had a panic attack before going on stage. They last minute had to put the stems in from her acoustic performance from her Instagram. That’s why her voice sounded autotuned and too perfect. #selenagomez #selenaxamas #sg2— PopCultureFacts (@hollycstrain) November 20, 2017
you can all really stop shitting on selena gomez and her performance. she had major surgery this year and is dealing with an incredibly difficult autoimmune disease which causes extreme pain and fatigue. she's not a normal 25 year old, but she is doing her absolute best.— liv (@duhnarry) November 20, 2017
I don't know why Selena looked sad at the end of her performance but y'all need to stop with the hate and let her be proud of her work. She worked her ass off this entire week. I hope you're okay @selenagomez— . (@bizzlesizzlers) November 20, 2017
Whatever happened, we hope Selena is ok. The song is still a bop. She looked amazing. No one got hurt. Everyone calm down.
Selena my dear, shantay you stay.
