"Shawn Mendes changed colour when Jack mentioned the Calvin Klein campaign."

This year's Brit Awards was packed full of memorable moments. We had Beyoncé and Jay-Z's unexpected video message alongside Meghan Markle – well, a painting of her – and Little Mix's show-stopping performance of "Woman Like Me", followed shortly by an incredibly awkward interview with Jack Whitehall.

Jack, who hosted the ceremony, couldn't help put his foot in it this year, slating Piers Morgan and mentioning Liam Payne and Naomi Campbell's alleged romance. And then came the moment he met Shawn Mendes.

The dreamy "In My Blood" singer has just revealed a campaign with Calvin Klein and pretty much everyone on the planet is thirsting over the pics – including Jack. The comedian couldn't help bring them up, joking about Shawn's "suspicious package", while he appeared to be pretty uncomfortable.

"Who, ladies and gentlemen, has seen Mr Mendes' new underwear campaign?" Jack asked. "For those of you that haven't I've actually got it up here as my screensaver. There it is.

"Shawn, all these years I've been trying to break into your iCloud and you just release it for free! How does it feel to have broken the internet?"

"I knew this was gonna happen," Shawn replied, clearly blushing. "This is all you're gonna talk about for the next month of my life, isn't it?"

"Dude, there's nothing to be ashamed about," Jack said. "You're a gentleman that likes to rock out with his jock out and there's nothing wrong with that."

Yep, it was painful – and it didn't go unnoticed.

Jack's antics didn't stop there though, he made several jokes about Shawn, 20, being young and unable to drink in the US. With the legal drinking age in the UK being 18, Jack encouraged him to get "bladdered" and gave him a big bottle of WKD – the UK's unofficial alcoholic beverage of choice.
