However, Shawn and Camila have recently faced breakup rumours and now they've addressed them directly.
Over the weekend, Cosmopolitan shared a story on Snapchat titled "Proof Shawn and Camila Are Broken Up". Never one to let any bullshit slide, Camila took a screenshot of the story and posted it on her Instagram Story with the hilarious caption: "Well when the FUCK were you gonna tell me @shawnmendes." And I oop. Shawn then officially ended the speculation by sharing a photo of him embracing Camila with a black heart emoji. Camila also commented with heart emojis.
As to where these rumours came from in the first place, they all started when Shawn deleted the viral video, in which he and Camila kiss "like fish", from Instagram last week. Shawn never explained why he removed the video leading some people to assume that he and Camila had ended things. However, fans were quick to assert that Shawn probably deleted it because he and Camila were tired of people misunderstanding that the video was a joke.
When Shawn and Camila released the video, most people got the joke. Justin Bieber commented: "U guys are fuckin weird. And I like it [sic]." However, it didn't stop trolls from sending Shawn and Camila negative tweets. Billie Eilish even wrote "yiiikes" in reaction to it. During press for her new album Romance, Camila has continually said that the video was simply a "joke", frustrated that people didn't get it.
So there we have it. Shawn and Camila are definitely still together and they're laughing off the split rumours perfectly.
