Shawn Mendes says dating Camila Cabello is "more amazing" than a Grammy nomination

Shawn Mendes opened up about Camila Cabello, their relationship and the Grammys in a recent fan Q&A on tour.
Shawn Mendes just revealed that he cherishes being in love with Camila Cabello even more than their Grammy nomination.
Shawn and Camila started dating each other in July this year. Since then, fans of the two stars haven't been able to get enough of their romance. The couple first met as support acts for Austin Mahone on his Live on Tour tour in 2014 and quickly became close friends. They've even written multiple hit songs about each other.

However, it wasn't until Shawmila released their duet 'Señorita' together this summer that they decided to become a couple. Now, they've started to open up about their budding relationship in interviews and Shawn just said the most romantic thing about Camila.
On Friday (Nov 29), Shawn kicked off the South American leg of his tour in São Paulo, Brazil. Chatting in a fan Q&A ahead of the concert, Shawn answered a question about his and Camila's reaction to their recent Grammy nomination ('Señorita' has been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2020 ceremony). The 21-year-old said: "Here's the thing, it's amazing to be nominated for a Grammy but it's so much more amazing to be in love".
Shawn then went on to say: "I also think it's so much more amazing to come across the world to São Paulo and to play for 30,000 people, and to sit in a room with people who care and Grammys and awards, they're just words. They don't mean anything but this means something. We were happy but it makes us much more excited to be here."
Fans in the room immediately started swooning at Shawn's heartfelt words.

Shawn isn't the first person to call into question the importance of the Grammys either. Halsey recently criticised the awards show for snubbing BTS and ignoring the success of her single 'Without Me'. Meanwhile, Ariana Grande has previously been critical of the ceremony.
