Shawn Mendes awkwardly dodges fan question about Camila Cabello at Q&A

Shawn had an awkward non-response to more questions about his relationship with Camila Cabello.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have been dogged by romance rumours for years. Though they have publicly denied them many times, these rumours never quite seem to die down. The two have faced renewed speculation about their relationship status, thanks in part to their sexy new duet "Señorita" and some recent pap shots that show the pair getting very cosy.

The long-time friends definitely have fans curious and one brave soul recently worked up the courage to ask Shawn about his relationship with Camila at a recent fan Q&A.

"I wanted to say... I'm pretty sure we all know the answer. But what's going on with you and Camila," the fan asks.

The room immediately erupts with laughs and a few jeers, which prompts Shawn to smile rather awkwardly and move on.

Ouch, that was... painful.

Shawn might as well charge it to the game, at this point, because he's been dodging this same question for years.

Some fans of the two weren't impressed with the "invasive" question.

"How do ppl have the courage to ask such invasive questions," tweeted one fan.

"He is going to stop the Q and A's all together if y’all don’t stop asking about him and Camila," said another.

Shawn and Camila's "Señorita" is up for multiple VMAs this year, including Best Collaboration. So, there's no doubt that they make a good team.

Shawn is also up for Artist of the Year at the VMAs.
