Shawn Mendes Is A Believer In His New Movie Soundtrack

There are few moments in a young musician's life quite like their first film soundtrack deal. Over the past year, Shawn Mendes' star power has risen to astronomical heights (thanks mainly to social media) and it was only a matter of time before he scored his first film soundtrack.
Mendes' latest, "Believe" is due to feature in The Disney Channel's latest original movie, Descendents. The film isn't out for another month but camp Mendes is in all out press mode for the release.

In addition to a song, J-14 are reporting that Mendes has already filmed the video for "Believe" in his native Canada.
The track itself is uptempo, whistle heavy, and pretty skeletal in the context of big movie soundtracks. Lyrically, "Believe" is motivational and positive, of course.
