Katy Perry and Taylor Swift’s beef is long, complicated, and very public. The two have sparred through songs like “Bad Blood” and “Swish Swish”, exchanged comments about the other in interviews, and it all allegedly started with some stolen backing dancers way, way back in the day.
But now, ahead of Taylor Swift’s Reputation world tour, Katy Perry is attempting to put an end to their spat. In an Instagram story, Swift posted a video of an actual, literal olive branch (!) from Katy Perry along with a note. “So I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch. This means so much to me”.

Fans are now desperately trying to read the note, most of which is obscured, but there are some legible words that you can read below.
“Hello old friend - blank - I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hard feelings between us. I really want to clear the air. - blank - I’m deeply sorry for...”
The olive branch is a symbolic offering of peace between the pair, and Swift’s reaction to receiving it was pretty positive – maybe the beef has been squashed after all. Here’s what we can read of the note:
