Taylor Swift apologises for putting Joe Jonas "on blast" during their split

Let's take an awkward trip down memory lane, shall we?

It seems like two million years ago but cast your mind back to 2008. A time when High School Musical 3 was in theatres, Britney Spears was making a comeback, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z got hitched. Now, remember when Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas actually dated? Those were the days.

The "ME" singer briefly dated one third of the Jonas Brothers 11 whole years ago, from July 2008 until October 2008 – and it didn't exactly end amicably. Back then, Taylor made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and outed how Joe had dumped her over the phone in a 27-second call. Yikes.

"There's one [song] that's about that guy, but that guy’s not in my life anymore, unfortunately," she said.

"That's, ouch... we haven’t talked since, but you know what, someday I’m gonna find someone really, really great who's right for me. When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18."

Well, now Taylor has her regrets about that moment and she's really sorry. She returned to Ellen again and was asked about her most embarrassing memory.

"Probably when I, like, put Joe Jonas on blast on your show," Taylor explained. "That was too much, that was too much. I was 18, yeah. We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy, yeah, some teenage stuff there." G-R-O-W-T-H.

It's okay though, both Joe and Taylor got their happy endings. Taylor has found love with actor Joe Alwyn, while Joe recently married Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
