Is this the official drop date for the band's third album 'Music For Cars'?

The 1975 fans may have just gotten an extra late Christmas present as a potential release date for new music from the Manchester band appears to have leaked online.

Some eagle-eyed Twitter users spotted that the date April 27th is included in a preview article by The Guardian on albums to look out for in 2018:

The date will fall on a Friday, the traditional day for new album releases. Could this be when Matty chooses to drop Music For Cars? Or could it be the long-rumoured What A Shame EP?

Dork magazine was also contacted by a fan who spotted the date on the often-reliable Album Of The Year website, added by an editor named 'Justinzimmer868'. Did The Guardian just grab the date from here? Or do they have the inside scoop from Dirty Hit Records?

Either way, it is looking like we will be getting new The 1975 tunes at some point soon. Now, how about some live shows too boys?
