They've been waiting three years for a comeback
It’s been three years since Twenty One Pilots’ last album, 2015’s Blurryface, and fans are getting impatient. The band have been inactive on social media for almost a year since taking a self-described hiatus, leading everyone to think that they’re planning a big return. Their fans have been getting excited about every little shred of potential information, stringing together wild theories (including thinking they were making a surprise return on the 19th) and clinging onto hope that the band are really coming back.

- We began at (https://t.co/bs3hTk5Zln) with a change in the end of the video, leading to a website
- The link it lead to was https://t.co/lZdim3y8NO, a website that seemed like a dead end
In the perhaps most concrete sign of their comeback yet, fans discovered that the Twenty One Pilots merch store linked out to a website that at first glance appeared to be a dead end. However, fans then discovered another website under the error code slash “Clancy”. After the site went down it came back with some minor changes and some random images and clues – including a diary entry by someone called “Clancy”.
Here is the diary entry in full:
”The perplexities of the Dema horizon didn't occur to me until my ninth year. It was then that I began to contemplate the existential, and decide what type of impression I wanted my life to make. Naturally, to fuel my hope, I looked out upon the distance of the land that had cultivated me, only this time with new awareness of the obstruction that my youthful ignorance had allowed me to overlook. Was it there the whole time? How had I not seen something so obvious? I am reminded of the moment daily, as the realization directly collides with a unique hope for my own future. As a child, I looked upon Dema with wonder, today, I am wrought with frustration, as I spend each day squninting for a glimpse of the top of the looming wall that has kept us here. It was upon my ninth year that I learned that Dema wasn't my home. This village, after all of this time, was my trap. Before I became realized, I had deep affection for Dema. There was a wonderful structure to the city that put my cares to rest. Streets and locations were dependable, and the responsibilites of the day seemed to be accomplished with minimal effort. Once a task was taught and understood, we delighted in our ability to complete our obligations timely, and felt secure in knowing tomorrow's duties would be accomplished with the same efficiency. We all worked to represent our bishop with honnor, and knew that each inhabitant of our region had a like-minded dedication to consistency. Looms(?) embodied the spirit of this dedication. Of Dema's nine bishops, Keos(?) was reserved as unwavering and forthright, possessing the ability to achieve focus that was rare for most in our region. We all admired his, and felt honored to be inhabitants of his region. While we had heard legend of the ruthlessness of other bishops, Keos(?) possessed a stoic demeanor unlike anyone I had ever met, and we were all proud to serve. - Clancy”

- Someone found (https://t.co/pHHKWRBDMx), which was the root website slash the error code shown slash clancy.html
This is where we remain. Many have found small things in the post, but nothing too meaningful yet. I will update this thread as time progresses.

-The website went down for a bit due to a 509 error.
-When it came back up, a few MINOR things changed:
-Two phrases ended in "z" and were changed to "s" ("severing tiez-> severing ties)
-The map picture had the hidden upper left portion completely removed.
What could it mean!?
While it’s completely unclear at this point exactly what the new era of Twenty One Pilots will hold, it’s pretty obvious that it’s going to be something exciting and mysterious – and that they’ll probably drag it out as long as possible to keep fans on the edge of their seats. You can keep up with all the latest Clancy theories over on the Reddit page here.
