TØP In London: We Joined The Skeleton Clique For A Day And Here’s What Went Down

What a crowd!
The wait is over - TØP are in town for the Blurryface European tour, storming London for the first of two sold out shows at Brixton Academy and, being the dedicated Josh Dun Huns that we are, we were there to capture all the action.
Here's what went down.
1) The queue was buzzing.
The skeleton clique were out in force with lines forming around the block from around lunchtime, bringing blankets, guitars and, of course, their brand new Josh Dun Hun cards.
2) Merch was on point.
We need to borrow some cash immediately.
3) The fans were restless.
Huge groans rang out every time another Beastie Boys song came over the PA. No offence to the Beasties, we were just waiting for somebody else.
4) The opening was strong!
Appearing as if from nowhere, the boys ran straight into album opener "Heavydirtysoul" before powering through current huge single (and potential Number 1) "Stressed Out". We always knew that they would hit hard from the start but opening with two of your best known songs is ballsy to say the least.
The fact that momentum didn't let up from then on is testament to their strength as performers and the quality of the tunes.
5) The crowd went in!
From mass swaying to spitting out every lyric, the fans know how to show their appreciation in one of the most dedicated crowds we've ever seen in London. The girl in front of us was so excited she managed to fall down the stairs in the middle of "Tear In My Heart" (don't worry, she got straight back up again and continued pogoing). No wonder Tyler made a point of addressing the crowd towards the end of the night and telling them that it was, honestly, "one of the best shows we've ever played". We believe him.
6) Tyler climbed up to the balcony.
In what must have been an incredibly tiring move, Tyler legged it up the stairs in the middle of "Car Radio" to greet us up in the cheap seats, forcing us to run down the stairs for a quick look. How was he not out of breath? We were shattered and our journey was far shorter and slower. Just prior to this, he also revealed that he shares a wardrobe with Josh which explains all their matching outfits.
7) Josh ditched the shirt.
And did a backflip. Clearly trying to steal Brendon Urie's topless crown.
8) The finale was huge!
Full of ticker tape and smoke, they closed with a rousing, crowd-surfing take on "Trees" that brought the party vibes.
What a night!
Were you at the show? Let us know! And if you missed out, we'll be back at Brixton tonight dishing out more Josh Dun Hun cards.
