Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, MCR and more all had landmark releases about to turn a decade old.

Ready to feel extremely old and just a little nostalgic? With 2018 fast approaching, we thought we would look ahead (and back) at the albums that will hit their ten year anniversary during the next 12 months.

Here are just a few of the big records we are demanding celebratory re-releases of next year:

1) Adele - 19

Release Date: 28/01/08

Before she became a Grammy-winning superstar, the songstress dropped this emotionally-wrought debut, bringing heartbreaking tales of London to the wider world. Her rise to stadium-straddling megaseller was all but inevitable.

Key Track: 'Hometown Glory'

2) Panic! At The Disco - Pretty.Odd.

Release Date: 25/03/08

The second (and final) album made with the majority of the band's original lineup still intact, Panic! traded in their emo rock sound for some 1960s-inspired pop magic. A cult favourite among fans, big single 'Nine In The Afternoon' still makes regular appearance in live sets today.

Key Track: 'Northern Downpour'

3) Madonna - Hard Candy

Release Date: 19/04/08

Utilising the production and songwriting superduo of Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, Madge's 11th studio album managed to churn out some serious dancefloor bangers, from the meme-able '4 Minutes' to the Neptunes-assisted 'Give It 2 Me'.

Key Track: '4 Minutes'

4) Weezer - Weezer (Red Album)

Release Date: 03/06/08

One of the band's poppier efforts, Weezer's sixth album (and third self-titled record) contained the massive hit 'Pork & Beans' as well as the ridiculous, nearly six-minute long 'The Greatest Man That Ever Lived'.

Key Track: 'Pork & Beans'

5) Coldplay - Viva La Vida (Or Death And All His Friends)

Release Date: 12/06/08

(*Plays air-strings and drums simultaneously*) Oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh/Oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh/Oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh/Oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh/Oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh/Oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh/Oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh oh.

Key Track: 'Viva La Vida'

6) Katy Perry - One Of The Boys

Release Date: 17/06/08

Dropped by two record labels during the writing process, Perry's breakthrough record established her as a force to be reckoned with in the world of pop thanks to the iconic single 'I Kisse A Girl'. A stint on the Warped Tour helped her gain some ground-level street cred among the pop punk kids too.

Key Track: 'Hot 'N' Cold'

7) My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade Is Dead!

Release Date: 30/06/08

Documenting the final night of the emo icons' epic 2007 tour, the band's taste for the theatrical is showcased in all its glory in front of screaming fans in Mexico City. Listen and weep.

Key Track: 'Famous Last Words'

8) Lady Gaga - The Fame

Release Date: 19/08/08

A star is born. Rocketing into the charts complete with an array of wigs and a see-through piano, Gaga used her debut to show the world exactly how to be a proper popstar in the 21st century. More bangers than a barbecue.

Key Track: 'Poker Face'

9) Kings Of Leon - Only By The Night

Release Date: 19/09/08

Once you heard Caleb utter those immortal words "Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh, this SEX IS ON FIIIIIIIAAAHHHHH", your local student union club night would never be the same again.

Key Track: 'Sex On Fire'

10) Taylor Swift - Fearless

Release Date: 11/11/08

Still very much embedded in the country music style that first brought her to wider public attention, flashes of the future pop queen began to shine through, with huge crossover single 'Love Story' proving to be a watershed moment for the old Taylor.

Key Track: 'Love Story'

11) Beyoncé - I Am...Sasha Fierce

Release Date: 12/11/08

The biggest pop albums of all time have songs to cater to all occassions - from wedding receptions to post-breakup sob fests. Between 'Single Ladies', 'Halo', 'If I Were A Boy' and 'Sweet Dreams', Bey had enough bops to cover both the club and the comedown to equally great effect.

Key Track: 'Single Ladies'

12) The Killers - Day & Age

Release Date: 18/11/08

Finally, Brandon Flowers gave us an answer to the question we had all been asking ourselves - 'are we human or are we dancer?'. The synth-pop superstars upgraded to stadium rock on their third effort, while retaining the dancefloor fun of their legendary debut.

Key Track: 'Human'

13) Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak

Release Date: 24/11/08

The first truly experimental record from Kanye, 808s explored the breakdown of a relationship in painful detail, while single-handedly bringing about the use of heavy-autotune in pop, a trend still visible across dance and hip hop music even now.

Key Track: 'Heartless'

14) Britney Spears - Circus

Release Date: 28/11/08

Returning after a particularly traumatic personal period, Circus was the comeback Brit needed, with some of her most-loved hits including 'Womanizer' and a spectacular accompanying live show set in an actual circus ring.

Key Track: 'Womanizer'

15) Fall Out Boy - Folie à Deux

Release Date: 10/12/08

FOB's final album before they went on hiatus was not without its flaws but has since earned a huge following and, in many ways, laid the groundwork for the more experimental, pop-savvy material they have produced in their latter years.

Key Track: 'Disloyal Order Of Water Buffaloes'
