What can fans expect from Billie Eilish's upcoming album? Will she touring? The 16-year-old performer is gearing up to release more new music and here is everything we know about the album so far.

Billie Eilish's planned follow up to 2017's Don't Smile At Me EP is likely due out later this year. The promise of Billie's debut album has fans clamoring for new music and visuals from the 16-year-old singer. What can fans expect from the album, will there be a tour, and are there any notable collabs in the works?

When will Billie Eilish's 2018 album be released?

Billie Elish's album was confirmed for a 2018 release by her brother and producer Finneas O'Connell on Twitter. Apart from that, fans do not have a clear indication of when the album will arrive.

Billie sets out on the 1 by 1 tour in October so, VERY best case scenario, fans could be enjoying an album from the star just before then. In May 2018, Finneas gave an update on Twitter, writing, "producing Billie's new stuff today." In a follow up tweet he also said, "it's going well."

In July 2018, Finneas gave fans another update. "I love making it, I love listening to it," he wrote, perhaps indicating significant progress had been made on the release.

Billie Eilish 2018 releases and collaborations

New single "You should see me in a crown" has been confirmed for the new album as has the unreleased track "when the party's over".

Billie indicated in a recent interview that she does not believe that her Khalid duet "lovely" will be on the new album.

Though "lovely" was a song included on the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack (making it an unlikely candidate for album release), the song could certainly hint at a different album collaboration for the pair (either on hers or his). It's a fan favourite and many would love to see them replicate its magic.

In an interview with Spanish publication JNSP, Billie reportedly confirmed a collaboration with Lorde.

Billie indicated that there were conversations and plans for a collaboration between her and kiwi singer, however, it is unclear if such a collab will appear on Billie's next album, a future album, or Lorde's album.

Billie and Finneas were also in the studio with John Mayer, perhaps signalling some writing and musical magic went down between the three artists. "John Mayer and his music have inspired me more than any other contemporary artist and it was such a privilege to make music and hang out with him today," wrote Finneas in a caption for a photo of the three of them.
