Best Rock Video VMAs
Katie Louise-Smith

By Katie Louise-Smith

The battle is on between Panic, TØP, Fall Out Boy, Coldplay and All Time Low!

The nominations for the wildest night in music have officially arrived and boy, it's gonna be a crazy night! Adele and Drake could potentially find themselves in the middle of another Kanye outburst if either of them manage to snatch Video Of The Year from Beyonce. And actually, so could smol bb Troye Sivan, who is up against the Queen for Breakthrough Long Form Video.

But the real battle of the videos lies in the Best Rock Video category where we find our PopBuzz faves Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and Twenty One Pilots who are all about to engage in a friendly battle for the shiny, shiny moon man. (They're also joined in the category by All Time Low and Coldplay.)

But who will emerge *victorious*? There was hot competition from All Time Low's majorly inspiring video for 'Missing You' and Coldplay's big budget 'Adventure Of A Lifetime' but we've conducted our own investigation and narrowed it down to our Top 3. Are you ready?

Irresistible by Fall Out Boy ft. Demi Lovato

What happens: The boys have been turned into dolls at Demi Lovato's secret toy factory. They're then sent to a store where they are immediately thrown into the bin by evil Toy Store Overlord and previous plastic doll Joey Fatone from NSYNC. How rude.
Special guests: Well, they've got Demi Lovato and Joey from NSYNC which is hella cool.
Is it a banger? Hell yeah! But it doesn't bang as hard as Uma Thurman. Sorry about it.
Official PopBuzz rating: We're gonna give this one 3 out of 5. We prefer the first 'Irresistible' video - there was something about seeing Patrick Stump on the basketball court that really moved us.

Victorious by Panic! At The Disco

What happens: Our story begins with professional shirtless frontman turned amateur lightweight boxer Brendon Urie hyping himself up for his next big fight against a 17ft tall beefcake. Spoiler alert: he wins. Basically, this entire video is Brendon Urie just winning at life.
Special guests: Not unless you count the old lady he helps across the street? She was pretty special :)
Is it a banger? Mate, this is prob the biggest banger on the entire album.
Official PopBuzz rating: 4 out of 5. We're still turning up the volume whenever we hear it tbh.

Heathens by Twenty One Pilots

What happens: Tyler gets arrested for his crimes against our hearts and Josh joins him behind bars on the drums for moral support. Although, thinking about it... Josh might have actually just been a hallucination this entire time.
Special guests: It literally has all the Suicide Squad cast in it sooooo... #Jackpot
Is it a banger? OF COURSE IT IS. In fact, it's the best song they've ever put out. Fight us.
Official PopBuzz rating: 5 out of 5. FACT.

FINAL VERDICT: Well, there can only be one winner really...
