Hayley's first solo music outside of Paramore drops later this month.

Hayley Williams surprised Paramore fans late last year with the news that she was planning to release new music in the form of a solo project at the start of 2020. Now it looks like we might have the very first lyric from her new project Petals For Armor.

Posting to new social media accounts set up for the project, Hayley has been posting cryptic clues relating to her new music over the past few weeks and last Friday (Jan 10) continued the trend of posting mysterious pictures of black boxes to Instagram.

But while previous posts were posted without a caption, this one came posted with a caption fans are theorising could be a lyric from the new project. It reads: “how to draw the line between wrath and mercy”.

Others also said the caption could be a song title or the name of Petals For Amor’s debut album, which - according to a three-second teaser on the project’s website - seems to be dropping on 22nd January.

Hayley first announced the project at the end of 2019, explaining on social media: "30 was a very important year. 31 will be too. I'm putting out some music next year. With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I'm going to call my own."

"It's a really special project and you'll get a taste of it in January."

As if that weren’t enough, fans have also spotted some posters alluding to the project in New York and Hayley’s hometown of Nashville.

So whether Hayley’s new post is a preview of a lyric or an album title or something else, with something big definitely heading our way at the end of the month, we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
