Iggy Azalea jokingly set up a 'Señorita' streaming party after Lizzo asked fans to help 'Truth Hurts' beat Iggy's chart record.

Iggy Azalea is campaigning to get Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello to Number 1 against Lizzo but... it's all a joke.

Fans of Iggy Azalea will know that the 29-year-old is prone to trolling on social media and her latest faux-feud involves Lizzo. It all started when Lizzo tweeted about 'Truth Hurts' topping the Hot 100 for a fifth week in a row: "YALL... IF WE KEEP THIS UP FOR 2 MORE WEEKS... TRUTH HURTS COULD BE THE LONGEST FEMALE RAP #1 OF ALL TIME..... RIGHT NOW ITS ‘FANCY’ 🤩😱🤯 CAN WE DO IT?!" She then added: "*Fancy is a BOP and my homie @charli_xcx is genius on it".

Iggy then tweeted: "I could have SWORN I was the one rapping that song but okay..." and all hell broke loose.

The internet immediately assumed Iggy was seriously taking aim at Lizzo for not acknowledging her contributions to 'Fancy' and, ever the troll, Iggy then set up a fake streaming party to get Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's duet 'Señorita' back to Number 1. In doing so, Iggy would essentially maintain her record which Lizzo is currently aiming to beat. Iggy tweeted: "Stream señorita for clear skin".

Iggy also changed her avatar to a photo of Shawmila and her Twitter username to 'IGGY AZALEA stream señorita'. Making clear it's all a joke, Iggy tweeted: "Welcomeeeeee to the Senior Rita Streaming party 😉 Whossssss here?!" She also replied to a Shawn tweet saying "You guys are absolutely the most thoughtful people in the world. I love u so much" by writing: "You’re welcome sean!"

It didn't take long though for news outlets to write stories about Iggy having "genuine" beef with Lizzo. To clarify things, Iggy tweeted: "Y’all! Come on now. I’m joking, and having fun. And you should too. This is actually mean and NOT fun. She also tweeted: "But for real, congrats to Lizzo. I love seeing so many different styles of rap thriving & records are made to be broken!"

In other words, there is no drama here... just expert trolling. Shout out to Lizzo and Iggy on their achievements.
